It was a puzzle from day to day when Florian Hallmann was allowed to reopen his Schongau fairy tale forest. With restrictions, that is clear. "But when does the green light come from the district office, in order to be able to open at least to a limited extent?" Was the question of all questions. For Hallmann it was long in the stars until he received the redeeming message yesterday.
Schongau - The dwarfs are ready, all fairy tale characters want to tell their stories, the ponies scratch their hooves. Not to forget the park railway, which is waiting for the start signal. So when the green light comes from the district office, the business in the Schongau fairy tale forest can start - from today on Saturday.
"Of course there will be restrictions, but we have all prepared well for the situation," explains Florian Hallmann, junior manager of the many fairy tale characters. As he explains during an on-site conversation, he and his team worked out a hygiene and protection concept from 15 pages and submitted it to the district office.
Distance and hygiene rules similar to those in supermarkets
Hallmann mainly adheres to the hygiene and distance rules of the supermarkets, whereby he even set the distances in the park to two meters. "This simply gives families more security," says Hallmann.
In the entrance area and, of course, on all areas of the outdoor dining area and in front of the toilets, Hallmann clearly marked the paths with red and green signal colors. "It now looks like a carpet on the street, which can be played in a playful way, especially for children," is Hallmann's idea. The path in front of the toilets is provided with shade-giving umbrellas, so that nobody gets impatient with the heat in the sunshine.
Gastronomy area limited to "witch kitchen" and terrace
After the starting signal, the gastronomy area was limited to the "witch kitchen" area and the terrace. The interiors remain taboo. In addition, 17 disinfection stations are set up throughout the area.
Of course, Florian and father Max Hallmann did a lot of work again during the corona-related forced closure to undertake new designs. “The bridle path no longer passes the visitors through the park. It now runs past the park, which offers guests more security, ”explains the junior manager. And he adds that a pony is known to be an escape animal and likes to have its own head.
Only every second car in the park railway is occupied
Florian Hallmann is also proud of a completely redesigned animal enclosure for the Nandus. And of course the park railway must not be forgotten. The setting range has been changed, so only every second car is occupied. Corona security measure.
Online reservation is essential
Hallmann also mentions the modalities for admission as very important: "We only work with online reservations," he emphasizes. The guests go to the website www.schongauer-maerchenwald.de. There you can then choose whether you want a morning or afternoon ticket. Both are limited to four hours.
"Our park is limited to 500 people due to the area," explains Hallmann. Because of the possibility to come either in the morning or in the afternoon, as many visitors as possible have the chance to visit the fairytale forest.
