As part of its plan to improve roads in the various neighborhoods of the city, the Damascus Governorate is carrying out works for asphalting a number of them while continuing to rehabilitate and maintain public facilities, including pavements, sidewalks, and terminals.

The maintenance directorate’s workshops in the governorate have started asphalting the Nahr Aisha road from the Daraa Highway to the Gas Station to Al-Ashmar Square, according to the maintenance manager, Eng. Mohamed Hamamieh, in a statement to a SANA representative, indicating that the road will be asphalted back and forth as work is done on holidays to prevent any traffic jams.

The maintenance department also finished, according to Hammamet, the Darya entrance road on the southern bridge and sections of the road between the Carleton roundabout to Al-Assad University Hospital, and vice versa, noting that the workshops continue to skim the asphalt from the Bedouin Street in Sarouja and the main street in Al-Woroud neighborhood until the first of the willow bleed in addition to scraping the damaged asphalt in A number of streets in Al-Areen neighborhood in Dummar Al-Balad, with a view to paving them for later.

Hamamiyeh pointed out that the workshops will continue to maintain the fair of the Aisha River road, paving the sidewalks, and installing the terminals at its sides, in addition to the maintenance work for the sidewalks and the terminals in Al-Thawra Street, Bab Al-Sagheer and the sidewalk on the international road opposite the Pullman Garage towards the panorama.
