Thousands of people demonstrated in the Canadian city of Toronto yesterday to express their protest and condemnation of violent and racist practices of the police in the United States and Canada with citizens of African descent.

Agence France-Presse reported that the demonstrators raised banners saying "life of black people matter" and "I can no longer breathe", a phrase that American George Floyd used to hold on the ground before he breathed his last breath into another crime that was added to his crime record American police.

One of the demonstrators told the agency: “Despite the Corona epidemic, it is important to show that we are fighting for justice for all for blacks and for all people of color.” He added, “Although the problem is greater in the United States, it is happening here at our gates in Toronto and Canada and we must all unite In the world".

The crowd included people of all races, reflecting the diversity of Toronto, the largest Canadian city with a population of six million, and protesters chanted "No justice, no peace."

The demonstration was organized after the death of a black woman last Wednesday in Toronto after she fell from a balcony located on the twenty-fourth floor during a police operation in circumstances that are still mysterious and coincides with the massive demonstrations taking place in all parts of the United States after the death of 46-year-old Floyd during his arrest by the police .
