The farmers of Daraa governorate have started harvesting barley crops in all agricultural regions, with expectations of production reaching 41,306 tons, according to the head of the Peasants Union in Daraa, Mithqal Al-Qasim.
The President of the Peasants Union said in a statement to SANA correspondent today that the reality of the barley crop is good compared to previous years, calling on farmers to accelerate the harvest of their crops in order to avoid fires that can occur due to the high temperature.
The percentage of cultivation of barley crop in Daraa during the current season exceeded one hundred percent by planting 28,338 hectares of the planned area of 27,782 hectares.
