Meetings begin with City and Province. It will last at least until the middle of the month. The modality will depend on whether or not there is a critical peak.

The prognosis is bleak and works as a political and health support for Alberto Fernández's decision to extend the quarantine for the coronavirus pandemic beyond June 7. "Argentina is not apart from having mass graves," they warn in the government as an extreme sign that the worst of the pandemic has not yet passed.

It is a response to the protests and requests from the anti-quarantine sectors and anticipates that the isolation will continue throughout June and that, in addition, it will remain strict at the epicenter of the pandemic: Capital and Greater Buenos Aires.

After the escalation of cases in the last week, which set a new floor of 700 infections per day , the Government fears a critical spike that, if confirmed, will define the intensity of the extended quarantine.

It will display  scenarios for different confirmed and deceased maps. That task will begin this Monday, in Casa Rosada, when Chief of Staff Santiago Cafiero meets with Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires officials.

What is Coronavirus? How is it spread and what are its symptoms?

The plan is to contemplate more than one variable: if the curve is maintained between 700 and 800 cases, there could be some easing; if the curve grows or shoots, it could, on the contrary, reverse with openings .

The President's mandate to his team is to project more than one alternative to avoid what happened with the last extension of the quarantine, on May 24.

The previous week, there was a tugging between Axel Kicillof and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta about the impact of the store openings in CABA. Kicillof asked to close and Larreta refused. "Horacio did not want to back down because it seemed that he was giving in to Kicillof," National Government sources told Clarín .

Fernández interceded but the dispute was resolved by the Covid-19 Daily Report issued by Salud. During a meeting, on Thursday 22, of Cafiero with the heads of the Cabinet and the Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires health ministers, in addition to the deputy chief Diego Santilli, the data of 404 confirmed in CABA was known , which marked a shocking record

The figure was mentioned by Cafiero and generated a dense silence. From there, CABA agreed to review the openings it had authorized.   Larreta made it explicit the following weekend.

Blue Villa. The settlement located in the Quilmes and Avellaneda parties is isolated.

The Government is betting that the number of infections remains stable, which will improve the doubling rate.

"An extension scenario is if the figure remains at 700 or 800 cases and another is if it climbs to a thousand," a source points out to Clarín and details that they want to have plans for both scenarios.

"The anti-quarantines say that the worst is over, but there may still be 100 deaths a day here," an official with daily access to Olivos told Clarín .

In parallel, another phenomenon is consolidated: the focus of contagion of Covid-19 seems, increasingly, to focus on AMBA and Chaco. Periodically, only isolated cases appear in other provinces. In the rest of the country the "new normal" appears with the reopening of productive sectors, in some cases up to 95%.

The Ministry of Economic Development, in charge of Matías Kulfas, produced a map according to the number of private sector workers who returned to their posts. The national average is 66% but in provinces like Tucumán, San Juan and Neuquén it is around 90%.

This duality between AMBA and the interior, with Olivos praising the achievements in Santa Fe and Córdoba, is on the agenda of the President who this week plans to travel to Patagonia, possibly to Neuquén.

In addition to the productive profile, almost in campaign mode, Fernández wants to dust off his promise of a federal president.

Fernández multiplied his exits, sandwiched between suburban and interior. In fact, this Monday he will go to Pilar to visit the Austral hospital.
