Alternate Prime Minister and Defense Minister Benny Gantz is scheduled for a first working meeting with Attorney General Avihai Mandelblit on Sunday (Sunday). At their meeting, the two discussed issues related to the Ministry of Defense and the government.

In a press release, the blue-and-white chairman told Mandelblit that he regarded the rule of law and law enforcement officials as key elements in safeguarding democracy and intending to protect, strengthen them and ensure that they could carry out their mission without fear and impartiality.

The Gantz-Mandelblit meeting came at the same time as the tension between the USSR and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, partly due to the charges filed against Netanyahu.

• Suspicion: Two workers in the PM's residence made false statements

• Mandelblit should suspend himself

Earlier this evening, it was reported that the National Unit for Fraud Investigations at Lahav 433 is currently investigating suspicions surrounding testimony and affidavits provided by two female PMs, in a civil lawsuit filed against Prime Minister Sara Netanyahu's wife by former resident Shira Raban.

It is suspected that various sources put pressure on two former residence workers who gave affidavits in the favor of the prime minister's wife in a poem by Shira Raban, and allegedly gave false testimony. Today, senior police in the residence were questioned and two facts. During the day, the state informed Rabban's attorney and the court that she wanted to postpone the totals of the case until the investigation into the matter became clear.

The investigation is on suspicion of providing a false affidavit of a former day care worker at the Regional Labor Court, and police have made it clear that she is under the approval of the Attorney General and accompanied by the State Attorney's Office.

The employee was interrogated for hours, and according to her associates in her investigation, told investigators: "I'm a pawn. You are looking for Netanyahu and trying to overthrow a prime minister. I gave true testimony, I support my statement that you are pressing me to overthrow the prime minister." On the other hand, the researchers blamed her: "You are a liar, you lied to Sarah Netanyahu."

Attorney Attorney Itamar Ben Gvir said: "For 30 years I have not seen police investigating witnesses lying above the witness stand."

Attorney General Sara Netanyahu's Attorney Yossi Cohen: "Last week, the Prime Minister revealed the delinquent investigations conducted by the police against him under the guidance of adviser Mandelblit. The next day, police officials made a 12-word threat to the prime minister that they would sew another bag if he continued to visit them. Today they realized the threat. Most exceptionally, the police intervened in a civil proceeding, launching a criminal investigation while a blank case was filed against the prime minister's wife.

"Just a few months ago, counselor Mandelblit refused to open an investigation against prosecutor Liat Ben-Ari after journalist Eli Zippori released a recording proving that she had made a false affidavit to the tribunal. Mandelblit is enslaving the Israeli police for an obsessive and tendentious persecution of the Netanyahu family in an attempt to overthrow the Israeli prime minister. Proved he didn't buy it. "

Mandelblit responded to Attorney Cohen's claims: "Contrary to Attorney Cohen's false statement, the information that aroused suspicion came to law enforcement agencies last year and was submitted for review. In October 2019, the prosecutor's office announced in the civil proceeding that information pertaining to the testimony of Witnesses in the proceeding are under examination, and therefore sought to postpone the date of proofs in the case, and these were even published at the time in the media.

"In any case, the investigation into the case began last March, when it was found that there was a reasonable suspicion of committing a criminal offense, so that there is no point in the words of Adv. Cohen. As reported by the Israel Police, the investigation is being conducted with the approval of the Attorney General and with the supervision and supervision of the State Attorney's Office.

"Attorney Cohen's flattering statements are inappropriate for a lawyer, worthy of any condemnation, they have no insignificant truth, and in any case do not deter anyone from the law enforcement system from carrying out his work properly."
