Man's body found near burnt car early Sunday morning in Minneapolis, city officials rioted after African-American George Floyd died earlier this week his arrest.

Police responded at around 4:00 a.m. to a report of a burning car, according to John Elder, a police spokesman for the northern US city. After fire was extinguished by firefighters, officers found the body of a deceased man a few meters from the burnt out car, with bruises.
The identity of the victim and the cause of death have not been released at this time. The area was closed to the public and criminal police officers were called to the scene. An investigation has been opened.

A curfew was in effect between 8 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. on Sunday, and an exceptional deployment of law enforcement was in place to secure the city, in chaos since the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police, a tragedy that sparked protests in dozens of cities across the country.
