Ahmad Al-Kibsi, a member of the Executive Bureau of the Yemeni Media Workers Union, affirmed that the renewal of the European Union's unilateral coercive economic measures against Syria is a dragging behind American policies in the region and a continuation of support for terrorism.
Al-Kibsi said in a statement to a Sana correspondent in Sanaa: “Extending the sanctions against the Syrian people means beyond any doubt the continued support of the terrorist forces and terrorist organizations, which in turn produce a difficult humanitarian situation in which the United Nations and the European Union participate, by exacerbating the crisis in Syria at all levels.”
In a similar statement, Aref Al-Amri, media spokesman for the parties opposing the Saudi aggression against Yemen, Secretary of the Liberation Front Party, condemned the renewal of sanctions against Syria, stressing that it aims to harm the interests of the Syrian people, increase their suffering and hinder any solution to the crisis in his country.
Al-Amiri said: "These decisions are part of the American policies and dictations that they are trying to impose in the region through European positions that are completely different from the media positions to serve the Zionist entity."
Abdel-Malek Al-Hajri, adviser to the Supreme Political Council, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Al-Karama Party, said: “The European Union renewed its unjust coercive measures against the Syrian people, confirming the falsehood of all European allegations and the lack of brilliant slogans in freedoms, human rights and democracy,” stressing the need to confront the American Western Zionist plan and its colonial agenda in Region.
In another statement, Abdel-Khaleq al-Jabri, a member of the political bureau of the Yemeni Karama Party, denounced the renewal of unilateral coercive measures against Syria, stressing that this step is clear and unequivocal evidence of European hypocrisy and identification with the American and Israeli agenda in the region.
