LE FIGARO. - You co-founded Withings in 2008. Why were you interested in connected scales and blood pressure monitors?
Éric CARREEL. - This project was part of the continuation of Inventel, my previous company created with Jacques Lewiner, honorary scientific director of the ESPCI ParisTech school. The company had developed the France Telecom Livebox - one of the very first connected objects, configurable remotely! In 2007, Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone and a new world took shape.
