Feldkirchen - The blue MVG rental bikes have been available at Feldkirchner S-Bahn station since April 2019. Therefore, five new MVG rental bike stations have now been decided for around 70,000 euros.

“If we had decided on several stations right from the start, we would have received 95 percent funding. Now we have to pay half ourselves ”, regretted the municipal councilor Christian Wilhelm (SPD). For the only rental bike station at the station so far, the community only had to pay 3500 euros of the costs incurred of 23 300 euros. Now, however, a station with eight rental bikes costs € 15,000 for the community and € 12,250 for five bikes.

The building committee unanimously decided on five new MVG rental bike stations: on Münchner Strasse (8 bikes), Olympiastrasse (5), South Commercial Area (8), Dornacher Strasse (8), East Commercial Area (5). After deducting the 50 percent subsidy, the costs for this amount to 69,500 euros, plus annual operating costs of 15,500 euros.
