Metro, RER, Transilien ... Almost normal in Ile-de-France transport this Tuesday

2020-06-02T15:00:21.967Z

90% of metros, 100% of RER A and B, 90% of Transiliens during rush hour ... For the second phase of deconfinement the service offer

The traffic in Ile-de-France, which was one million passengers a day, or 20% of the usual traffic, at the end of last week, should continue to increase this week.

In order to cope with this foreseeable increase in the number of travelers, the service offer is further reinforced as of this Tuesday. But Ile-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), the organizing authority, advises to favor teleworking as much as possible and to try to shift its hours to avoid congestion during peak hours.

Here is what you need to know for Tuesday's return to transport.

The wearing of the mask and the employer certificate remain compulsory

The decree published this Monday in the Official Journal confirms this: the wearing of a mask remains compulsory in public transport as well as on platforms and in metro stations, or even at bus stops. The employer certificate during peak hours too. If you travel between 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. or between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., you will need it, as it has been since May 11.

Metro: 90% of traffic but still around fifty stations closed

RATP has published its traffic forecasts. 90% of metros will run on average on its network, and always 100% on lines 1, 13 and 14, during the normal time slot, between 5.30 and 1.15 a.m. On the other hand, around fifty stations will remain closed, "to facilitate the management of flows". Correspondence such as République, Barbès or Raspail is therefore still not accessible. Only five new stations will reopen this Tuesday (Victor Hugo on 2, Jacques Bon sergeant on line 5, Filles du Calvaire and Porte de Charenton on 8 and Charles Michel on 10). It takes over 80% of the RATP bus offer.

RER A, RER B and 100% trams

RER A, the busiest line, will operate normally from 5 am to 1.15 am. RER B also, except during closure for work after 11 pm between Aulnay and Roissy. RATP trams will also run at 100%. Service somewhat reduced, however, for T4 (one every 12 minutes) and T11 (80%) trams-trains. Optile buses in the outer ring and Noctiliens also operate at 100%.

Transilien: 9 out of 10 trains in rush hour, nothing after 10 p.m.

On the SNCF Transilien side, the recovery is not total. There are 9 out of 10 trains at rush hour, but nothing at night. Here are the forecasts line by line: RER C 70%, RER D 65%, RER E 70%, Line H 65%, Line J 80%, Line K 85%, Line L 70%, Line N 60%, Line P 75 %, Line R 65% and Line U 55%. Only long trains will circulate, the SNCF recommends to distribute well in the various cars to respect as much as possible the distance.
