Protest activities were renewed in Akkar, Tripoli, and the Bekaa to demand an improvement in the living situation and a speedy trial of the corrupt.
The Lebanese National News Agency stated that protesters cut the main Akkar International Highway at its southern entrance, which is the only outlet for Akkar towards Tripoli and Beirut since last night and is still closed by dirt bands at a round in Benin-Abda.
She pointed out that the protesters prevented cars, trucks and fuel tanks from crossing, which caused stifling traffic on the side roads and unqualified through Nahr al-Bared camp where the transit had to wait hours to cross a few kilometers.
In Zahle, protesters cut through the Saadnayel road to Talbaya since midnight yesterday, with stones, so that the traffic will be diverted to the secondary internal roads.
Last night, protesters blocked several roads in Beirut, as they gathered in the Riad al-Solh Square, in the city center, and tried to remove obstacles from in front of the entrances to the Lebanese Parliament, but security forces prevented them from doing so.
Since October 17, Lebanon has witnessed demonstrations and protest actions calling for improving the living conditions, fighting corruption and holding the corrupt accountable.
