Men reported 55 percent of coronavirus deaths *, women 45 percent. By June 1, a total of at least 8,511 people had died of corona in Germany , 4.7 percent of the confirmed Covid-19 cases .

The rise in deaths in Germany in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic had recently slowed significantly despite the nationwide easing of the exit restrictions.
