Five museums reopen to the public one hour from Paris

1) Camille Claudel Museum

Nogent-sur-Seine, a pool of sculptors! Alfred Boucher and Paul Dubois already had their museum there before the 2017 opening of the Camille Claudel Museum, installed in the latter's childhood home. She lived there only three years but which were crucial in her life as an artist. The place gives him a beautiful part with the presence of the major part of his work, 45 sculptures out of 80, from La Valse mild to the delicious Petite châtelaine via the imposing Persée and the Gorgon ... Less than an hour from Paris, the museum's success is now recognized with more than 80,000 visitors since its inception.
COVID measures : mask (mandatory from 11 years old), hydroalcoholic gel dispenser available upon entry, compliance with the rules for physical distance, payment by contactless bank card (possible from the first euro) preferred, the audioguide is downloadable on smartphone (Wifi available in the museum hall). Group visits are not possible at the moment.
Note: the temporary exhibition Les Sculpteurs du travail is postponed to September 26.

2) Museum of Skippers and Waterways

At the confluence of the Seine and the Oise, this unique place takes us into the history of inland navigation. Models, paintings, engravings, sculptures, tell the trade and the life of the boatmen and teach us on the techniques of navigation in a complete and playful way. To see with family! 3) Elsa Triolet-Aragon House

The mill of Villeneuve, property of Elsa Triolet and Louis Aragon Maison Triolet-Aragon

In 1951, the couple of writers bought what Aragon called "the little corner of France". The poet thus offers his wife of Russian origin a place of inking but also a place of writing. 4) Toile de Jouy Museum

The Musée de la Toile de Jouy is a stopover point on the Véloscénie circuit, which obtained the "Accueil Vélo" label in 2018. DR.

More than 10,000 pieces (textiles, paintings, costumes ...) constitute the treasure of the Château de l'Églantine, a building dating from the mid-19th century and fitted out to accommodate this collection since 1991. 5) Museum of art, history and archeology
