Munich Hofbräukeller takes drastic step: Operation under corona conditions "financial disaster"

The innkeeper of the Hofbräukeller in Munich takes a drastic step on Monday: the restaurant is now closed again.

• The landlord hopes that you can only survive with the self-service area in the beer garden.

Because of the corona virus crisis: Hofbräukeller closes the restaurant again

Munich - The operation of the restaurant under the corona virus requirements is not worth it: Hofbräukeller landlord Ricky Steinberg will therefore close the interior of his inn from Tuesday (June 2) . 

The beer garden is still open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The seats on the terrace and the woodland will continue to be served, the dishes will be served by the beer garden. On the website www.hofbraeukeller.de , guests can find out if the weather is uncertain.

Drastic step in Munich's catering scene: Hofbräukeller closes

The evening newspaper  reports that Ricky Steinberg announced the sad news to his staff in a video message on Monday. In it he justifies the step with too few guests. People would probably wait or just have no money. Against this background, the operation of the restaurant is a "financial disaster".

Another cult restaurant in Munich had to take a similar step: the Park Café closes - in the hope that it will be able to reopen with better circulation.
