Sutakh Fire and Emergency Unit extinguished the Agricultural Directorate with the support of the people this morning, a great fire broke out at the Syrian-Jordanian border and spread inside the Syrian territories south of the village of Al-Anat in the endosperm governorate and extended large areas of dry grass.

A source in the Sakhlek Fire Unit explained that the fire spread inside the border strip and came to large areas of dry grass estimated at tens of acres and was controlled and extinguished before reaching the farmers ’crops in the region in cooperation between the firefighters and the Emergency Directorate of Agriculture with the support of the border guard and support from the people and their equipment and machinery from the villages Neighboring.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Sama Al-Bardan, to which Al-Anat village, Mahmoud Al-Choufi, pointed out, that the rapid interaction of the people of the region and neighboring villages immediately after the outbreak of the fire contributed to containing it and extinguishing it in cooperation with firefighting teams and the concerned authorities before its expansion to the wheat and barley fields.

The firefighting teams and the people put out two fires earlier last month that affected large areas of dry grass on the Syrian-Jordanian border, one of them south of Al-Anat village and Khirbet Al-Qaraa and another south of Dheibeen village in the southwestern province of As-Suwayda, which caused damage to barley fields in the region.
