The meeting with Netanyahu was held in the background of efforts by the settlers to stop the promotion of the US president's plan. Right-wing MK Naftali Bennett said that "President Trump has proven to be a huge member of the State of Israel, and for that, our great thanks." Bennett added, "Applying Israeli sovereignty to the territories of Israel is a historic act, but establishing a Palestinian terrorist state in the heart of our country is an existential disaster. Once the map and plan are finalized, we will make a decision."

Knesset Member Bezalel Smutrich (right) this morning expressed his reservations about the maps expected to include the plan, saying in an interview here: "The Israeli side submitted a reasonable map three weeks ago to the US side. They returned another map that is very bad and interrupts the settlement sequence."

David Alhaini, who is also the head of the Jordan Valley Council, said: "As a councilor with a lot to lose, I say 'no thanks' to the Trump plan and the Palestinian state, as well as to sovereignty. We have public responsibility not only on our level, but on the entire state of Israel. That is why we came here to present the risks and say that a terrorist state cannot be established in the heart of the State of Israel. "

Gush Etzion council chairman Shlomo Ne'eman said during the hearing that the US government had breached its promises regarding the sovereignty move. "I was in Washington and supported the plan, but the changes introduced since then, especially the difficult map and the construction freeze, make me object to what is proposed today," said Ne'eman. Israel today "We demand answers from the Prime Minister for changes that will prevent the strangulation of localities."

Chief of Staff Benjamin Israel Gantz: "As we have demanded so far, we are saying to the Prime Minister: Want sovereignty but we will not accept dangers for settlement and the state. We cannot accept statements of 'trust me' - we know that maps are going to be a big danger. With maps, we will strengthen our grip on all areas of Judea and Samaria and vice versa. We will be the first to strengthen the prime minister in this. "
