The Regional Director of the World Health Organization in the Americas, Carissa Etienne, announced today that the epidemiological curve of Corona virus is still very high in the region, with nearly three million confirmed cases.
Reuters quoted Carissa as saying that "the Pan American Health Organization (BAHO) hopes to continue to work effectively with the United States despite the latter's withdrawal from the World Health Organization."
In a hypothetical press conference from the American capital, Washington, BAHO managers advised countries not to reopen their economies more quickly than necessary and to avoid public gatherings, especially in places still experiencing an increase in cases of coronavirus infection.
