Walls - It should be one of the largest projects in the coming years: The municipality of Mauern plans to build around 20 municipal apartments in the "Alpersdorf II" area, which will be subsidized by the Upper Bavarian government with 50 percent and for which the loan from the other half will be almost is interest free. What at first glance looks like a great opportunity for the place is at least irritating for some neighbors. Town hall manager Georg Krojer responded to questions from citizens at the municipal council meeting on Thursday evening with a statement.
Some citizens have come together who feel poorly informed about the community's plans. As a result, the eight visitor seats were quickly distributed at the municipal council meeting and several interested parties had to stay in front of the Old Town Hall. The mayor and the municipal council have received the information needs of some citizens accordingly.
"If the citizens are concerned, then so are we," said Georg Krojer, emphasizing that he takes the questions very seriously. The words were not well received by the questioners. "We are not concerned, we are interested," said one member of this group. Krojer told the panel that if there were any delays, he would fear that walls could be left empty in the much sought-after funding program. "It would be a shame if we didn't get on the train," said Krojer. After all, it is about long-term affordable housing in the community.
Mayor Krojer claims high transparency
"We did not keep anything behind the mountain," emphasized the town hall boss, who clearly contradicted the accusation of insufficient public information. He had presented the project in detail at the 2019 citizens' meeting, and the construction plans had also been explained several times in information sheets of the municipality. Furthermore, a public information event would have been scheduled for April 20, but had to be canceled due to the exit restrictions. According to the latest inquiries, Krojer now proposed a short-term information event on Thursday, June 4th ( see last paragraph ).
At the same time, the development plan procedure for the municipal construction project is to extend the deadline for comments from citizens by one week - until June 17. This means that they cannot be treated as planned on June 18 in the municipal council, but only three weeks later in the July session.
The information event on Thursday should take place in the multi-purpose hall, where around 50 citizens can be admitted after registration. Krojer said that the administration is now making sense of how many people the appointment can take place with.
The mayor also specifically addressed the increase in the number of storeys from 0.4 to 0.8. Currently, the municipality can build up to 0.6 and is planning with a floor space of 0.69. However, without the underground car park in the above-ground construction area, you only move at 0.42.
Krojer did not consider the rental apartment building to be oversized: “The building is long but not wide. We thought hard. "
