Cast off, it has been said since the Pentecost weekend at Kochelsee. Motor shipping started operating - but with some corona-related restrictions.
Kochel am See - Motor shipping on the Kochelsee has been running again since May 30th. "We have set up a special timetable," says entrepreneur Manfred Kneidl. Accordingly, there are initially only round trips that start and end in Kochel. The other four piers are not approached.
A maximum of 44 passengers are allowed on board
The Herzogstand motor ship can accommodate 100 guests. Now only a maximum of 44 passengers are allowed on board to maintain the required clearance on deck. This number can also be lower if more individuals want to get on. The start of the one-hour round trip is at 11:45 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. According to Kneidl, there is a 15-minute cleaning and disinfection break after each trip. All passengers must wear a protective mask. An onboard sale is not planned for the time being.
The "Herzogstand" runs on synthetic fuel
The ship has been using synthetic fuel derived from natural gas since this year. "It's an extremely clean thing," says Kneidl. "No smoke and almost odorless." Kneidl is looking forward to the start of the season: "We are finally on the water again."
