Pope Francis on Wednesday June 3 ruled that any form of racism was "intolerable" in reaction to the death in Minneapolis of George Floyd, but he also condemned the violent reactions that followed.

"We can neither tolerate nor condone any form of racism or exclusion, and claim to defend the sanctity of all human life," said Pope Francis during his Wednesday audience, adding, however, that "nothing is won ” with the violent reactions of the last few days.
