Söder leads the way in personalized surveys . In the ARD Germany trend three weeks ago, 53 percent said that Söder would be a good candidate. Only 33 percent said about Friedrich Merz , who was submerged in the crisis . NRW Prime Minister Armin Laschet , in the corona policy with Söder, received only 27 percent, Norbert Röttgen only 21. All three are now considered battered in the Union.
