It feels like it was staged, said Sandra Navidi, a financial expert from New York. She is convinced that Donald Trump will try to increase the chaos so that in the fall he can postpone the election that he is currently losing as a result of the Corona crisis. Protests against racist police violence in the USA: The talk with Markus Lanz on ZDF

It is currently at stake, believes Elmar Theveßen, director of ZDF studio Washington. He was switched on from the park by the White House, where demonstrators had just gathered, and expected the National Guard to intervene again. Theveßen reported that the main perpetrator had received 18 complaints against him during his service: "These are repeat offenders". Hacke explained that racism among white police officers in the United States was practically “built in” and has always existed. In general, the cop there is by no means a “friend and helper”, but rather exudes fear. What is new, however, is that a president who actually serves as a role model more than in other countries is now cheering on the racists. Therefore, the United States suffered a double crisis, because the leadership crisis was added. 

Racism could also be described as the birth defect of the American nation, because despite the abolition of slavery, the black population remained disadvantaged. Even a black president couldn't really change that. Markus Feldenkirchen, former US correspondent for Spiegel, recalled that the vast majority of the two million prisoners were black. The inequality of opportunities has rather increased, said Navidi, and Hacke referred to 20 million children who live below the poverty line - in one of the richest countries on earth.
