In a new cultural achievement, the "Harvest" painting that talks about the Syrian heritage during the wheat harvest season for the 15-year-old Majd Al-Zaqqout won the bronze award in the “Children’s Drawings of the World” session 27, organized by the Hekari Foundation in cooperation with the Japanese National Organization for Agricultural Cooperation.

Majd's painting, which participated in the competition, along with 300 paintings of children and young adults from different countries of the world participated in the competition, among them 27 participants from Syria, where the golden colors expressing joy, goodness and blessing showed, according to Al-Zaqout for SANA, which showed the aesthetic of the intangible Syrian heritage during the rituals of the wheat harvest embodied in the Board.

The Majd Prize, which he received yesterday through the branch of the Tala'a Al-Baath Organization in Damascus after it was sent by the Syrian embassy in Tokyo, carried him many meanings according to his expression, especially that it is on the world level, as it gave him a great incentive and motivation to continue developing his talent and interest in it so that he can participate in various international competitions pointing That he guides his victory for the children of Syria who have defied all the difficult circumstances during the years of the terrorist war on Syria and have continued to pursue their educational attainment, develop their talents, and participate in scientific and cultural competitions and events.

The talent of drawing appeared in Al-Zaqout from the age of eleven, where his family and teacher Safa Bandaq worked to support and develop his talent with training courses in a number of institutes of drawing education to become proficient in drawing "with lead, ink, charcoal, oil colors and portrait painting" and participated in several individual and group exhibitions organized by a number of agencies affiliated to my ministry Education and Culture, during which he won first place at the level of Syria in drawing and painting competitions.

The head of the Fine Arts Office at Tala'at Al-Baath Organization Heba Saeed indicated in a statement to SANA the role of the organization in nurturing the talents of children and adolescents and securing their presence in various cultural activities and local, Arab and international competitions, noting the talent of Al-Zaqout and receiving a global award, which encourages the remaining talented children to do so.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian child Nibal Marwan Al-Tawil also won the bronze award in the 25th round of the same competition in 2018.
