Police refer to the deceased as a Chinese woman aged about 40 to 50 years old, about 1.6 meters tall, of fat build, with long black hair. The LCSD announced at 6:45 in the evening that the shark prevention net maintenance contractor had completed the inspection of the shark prevention nets at the beach, and confirmed that there were no large fish within the shark prevention nets. Yesterday Golden Beach found a red flag hung on the beach

Hu Qirong, a spokesman for the Hong Kong and Kowloon Life Saving Staff Association, who witnessed the sharks, said that at 9:45 in the morning, the lifeguard found a big fish about 1 meter long at the 2nd observation deck.
