" A regulatory text will be taken during the month of June to support the very recently created companies so that the youngest and perhaps in some ways the most daring are not penalized by the health crisis ", said the Prime Minister during questions to the government in the Assembly.

Contacted by Le Figaro , the Ministry of the Economy explains that " companies created after February 1 will be able to benefit from the solidarity fund, which was not the case before ". The precise terms will be detailed in a subsequent decree but for the time being Bercy indicates that the compensation will be paid " compared to the turnover before March 10 ", and its pro rata to the month. Example: if a company can only prove a single week of turnover, the administration will quadruple this amount in order to obtain a monthly basis, on which the lump sum will itself be estimated.

This financial assistance will not be retroactive and currently concerns the month of June only.

The question of aid to these very young companies has been recurrent since the start of the crisis, when the State set up this solidarity fund for very small businesses, access to which is based in particular on the turnover achieved in 2019. More than a million of them have benefited since the start of the crisis.

Questioned by the president of the new group Agir Ensemble, the deputy Olivier Becht, Edouard Philippe returned Tuesday on the fate of these " very young companies, those created a month " or sometimes " unfortunately a week before confinement ", that is March 17 latest. Those “ which were created after investments were made and which found themselves in frighteningly difficult situations, firstly because they could not rely on the past to demonstrate their viability. We plan to accompany them, ”insisted the Prime Minister.
