Mayor Stefan Jocher describes the situation in Schlehdorf as a result of the excursion traffic as devastating. In the past, Kochel was the primary destination for local people, but this year the small monastery town also seems to be struggling increasingly with day tourists.

Schlehdorf - In the municipal council meeting, the mayor showed photos of the street that leads to the district of Raut. It shows how the narrow connection of parked cars is further narrowed. Rescue vehicles and agricultural machinery would in many cases no longer be able to get through. The photos also show numerous cars that are parked in the agricultural meadows along the way. For example, on Father's Day, parking was “devastating,” says Jocher. Residents of the Raut now demanded a ban. But Jocher was powerless. "The situation will be the same for us over the next few weekends," he said.

Residents want a ban

Michael Wolf (FW) suggested a residential sign. Only residents are then allowed to use the street. Such a sign had been there before, said Wolf. But Jocher rejected: The street was a public street. Legally everyone can use them. Jocher has no idea how to cope with the increasing number of excursions. "I have no solution," he said. He would be happy to ask the police and ask for more presence. But he doesn't have much hope. Because the police had enough to do on the nice weekends. Jocher could only make the suggestion to the affected farmers to fence their meadows and thus protect them from the game parkers. Farmers are also allowed to pull fences outside. Jocher also sees a possible solution to the park chaos of the coming weeks in the fact that a farmer is making his mown meadow available as a parking area, as happened in Jachenau.

Idea: Mown meadows as a parking lot with fees

"You can't earn as much money with wood as with parking fees," said Andreas Schnetzer (FW). However, Stefan Schnieringer (FW) was skeptical about whether agricultural land could be used as a parking space.
