Japan is the other country of watches. In particular thanks to Seiko, a watchmaking giant created in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori, and now run by his great-grandson, Shinji Hattori. The Japanese group demonstrates this even today by installing its high-end brand, Grand Seiko, in Paris, at 7 place Vendôme. With more than 190 m² on two floors, and 150 horological references on display (including two Parisian limited editions), it thus inaugurates its largest boutique in the world. And settled alongside the leaders of Swiss Made watchmaking, a crowning achievement for this entity launched in 1960, which produces only a few tens of thousands of pieces per year.
It must be said that Seiko maintains a special relationship with France, itself fascinated by the sense of innovation and the excellence of Japanese craftsmanship.
