The confinement period could redraw our future living spaces. The study that has just been carried out by the Ipsos institute on behalf of the Qualitel association makes it possible to see how our accommodation has made it possible to better live through this ordeal or, on the contrary, has aggravated the situation. From April 23 to May 4, while the ban on going out continued to be the rule, 2,600 people were questioned about the living conditions in their homes.

Not surprisingly, these results show a France cut in two with, on the one hand, the rural world, on the other, that of the cities. Rural residents, who normally judge the quality of their housing more favorably, fared better. Often living in a house, 65% of them felt that their home was perfectly suited to deal with this reclusive life, compared to 47% for people living in a large metropolis and 35% for Paris.
