Berlin announced the postponement of the European Union and China summit that was scheduled for next September in Germany due to the Corona virus crisis.
"German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Chinese President Xi Jinping and European Council President Charles Michel agreed that given the general situation of the epidemic, the meeting cannot be held as scheduled," the French press agency quoted a German government spokesman as saying in a statement today.
He pointed out that as a result of this, the summit, which was initially supposed to be held on the 14th of September in Germany, which holds the semi-annual presidency of the European Union meetings, should be postponed.
The European Union and China were forced to postpone the draft of a summit scheduled in Beijing at the end of last March due to the Corona epidemic.
