In the municipality of Haimhausen, plans for the high-voltage line from Tennet continue. A lawyer and a city planner presented the next steps to avoid a north route at the recent council meeting.

Haimhausen - The replacement of the high-voltage line from Oberbachern to Ottenhofen in the district of Erding was again an issue in the Haimhausen council. The company Tennet is planning the management on behalf of the state, which should run through the municipal area of Haimhausen (we reported). The company has provided two variants for this - the north or the south variant.

While the southern variant would run largely along the existing power line, the northern variant is significantly worse for the community. It has an impact on the municipal planning sovereignty of the municipality, as Mayor Peter Felbermeier said. “The new route will probably stand for the next 80 to 90 years. But we cannot say how the church will develop until then, ”he explained.

The administration consulted lawyer Martin Engelmann for all further steps. He specializes in construction law and at the meeting explained the legal options for the municipality to bypass the northern route. According to Engelmann, the government of Upper Bavaria will soon begin with the regional planning procedure (ROV) for the project. Before that, Tennet had to submit its plans to the government. The latter then decides whether the company may initiate a planning approval procedure in its intended corridor.

At the same time, Martin Engelmann advised the community to do its own planning. This means that the administration, together with the urban planner Marion Linke, should define its plans for a route in the land use plan. With the involvement of specialist authorities, the municipality can develop so-called concentration zones and draw them into the land use plan. "The concentration zones should be chosen so that they are compatible with everyone," said Linke at the meeting. "They would mainly affect the southern municipal area."

However, it is not certain whether the Haimhauser plans with the concentration zones are successful. If, for example, the nature conservation authority finds a protected animal or plant species in the area that the route provides for, the plans may still fail.

If the plans go as planned, the government of Upper Bavaria can only ignore them with good reason. It is important for Peter Felbermeier to emphasize that the community does not want to prevent a power line. "We need care," said the head of the community.
