Missing Maddie McCann: "Case number XY" already received references to the suspect German in 2013

Maddie McCann is still missing, now the crime could finally be solved. Case number XY received references to the man years ago.

Wiesbaden / Ismaning - Where's little Maddie McCann from England ? This question has been asked worldwide in the past 13 years, the disappearance of the then three-year-old girl caused a sensation around the world. Now the case could be about to be clarified. But could the suspected  murderer of the British woman have been caught long ago?

Maddie missing: Case number XY reveals new details 

The little girl from England disappeared from a holiday resort in Portugal 13 years ago , since then investigators in both countries have been looking for little Maddie. The girl's parents left no stone unturned, hoping for appearances on TV shows  all over the world to help them find their daughter. Even a visit to the Pope should support the family on their way. 

While the parents themselves were now suspected of having something to do with the disappearance of little Maddie, the crime could now finally be solved. In the current issue of " Aktenzeichen XY" , Christian Hoppe from the BKA Wiesbaden explained that a German is now under urgent suspicion.

On the program, the investigator published some evidence and traces that could have to do with the disappearance of the little British. As Hoppe also confirmed in the program, there were first indications of the 43-year-old in 2013. 

Even six years after the disappearance of their little daughter, the parents did not give up hope that they were watching TV channels around the world. The German cult format "Aktenzeichen XY" was on their list. In conversation with presenter Rudi Cerne, Kate and Gary McCann turned to TV viewers of the ZDF program in a live show in 2013 .

And indeed: after the parents were guests on the show in 2013, several TV viewers reported the man, who is now under urgent suspicion. In 2017, there are also references to the 30-year-old at the time of the crime. But as Hoppe explains in the evening, the information and information at that time were not sufficient to initiate an investigation against the German. 

The current findings are the result of years of cooperation, the British, German and Portuguese police, Hoppe made clear the effort of recent years. A VW caravan could have been used as a crime vehicle. A photo of the car was released to the public * in the evening.
