After corona cases: Hundreds of DPD employees tested in Duisburg 

Update of June 2, 8:27 pm:  After several corona cases in a Duisburg DPD parcel center , around 400 employees of the company were tested for the virus. After several private family celebrations, a Covid 19 outbreak with 68 infected people had occurred in Göttingen . Dozens of potential sufferers had not voluntarily appeared for a corona test on Pentecost weekend .

The health department therefore appeared with the help of the police for the relevant people. Those who do not comply with a quarantine requirement are committing a crime and can be transferred to a closed facility by the court, said the deputy head of the crisis team, Claudia Schröder.

According to the NDR, several young men met after a family celebration in a shisha bar in the city . Apparently they are all supposed to have smoked from a pipe , as is common in shisha bars. Some of them were later tested positive for the corona virus.  

RKI: Around 7100 active corona cases in Germany

Update of June 2, 6:30 a.m .: Compared to the previous day, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports 213 new infections and 11 deaths related to the coronavirus. According to RKI, around 166,400 Covid-19 patients have recovered. The number of active corona virus cases is therefore 7,106 (as of June 2; 6:28 a.m.). Total coronavirus cases in Germany: 182,028 deaths: 8,522

The health authorities do not report any further corona cases from Saxony and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. North Rhine-Westphalia has registered 54 corona cases within 24 hours and thus most new infections. The RKI points out that due to quality checks, the daily updated data can still change. In addition, the number of new cases could also contain errors for technical reasons.

So far, 8511 people nationwide have been proven to be infected with the virus, increasing the number of reported deaths by eleven within 24 hours. RKI estimates that around 165,900 people have survived the infection. That is 600 more than the day before.

Crowds at Pentecost despite Corona: Baltic Sea resorts react to the rush of tourists

Scharbeutz 'Mayor Bettina Schäfer justified this with the fact that the necessary distance rules could not be observed. Corona outbreak in Göttingen: State government sticks to easing

Corona outbreak at German police instructors in Afghanistan - police officers flown to Germany

Update from 11.07 a.m .: In Afghanistan there was a corona outbreak among German police instructors . The Federal Ministry of the Interior has now brought the nine police officers back to Germany. On Sunday (May 31), the Air Force flew three sick instructors home with a specially equipped Airbus A400 MedEvac . Corona virus in Germany - survey shows: one in two would be vaccinated

Because of recklessness: Big corona outbreak in Göttingen - death statistics in April alarming

Update of May 31, 3:22 p.m .: After the Corona outbreak in Göttingen in connection with several celebrations, the authorities are working flat out to find contact persons. 160 people are already in quarantine, including numerous children and adolescents. According to calculations by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the number of reproductions rose to 1.03 on Saturday.

The RKI reported (as of May 31 at midnight) 286 new infections in Germany within one day. So far, according to RKI data, 8,500 have been proven to have been infected with the virus in Germany, increasing the number of reported deaths by 11 within 24 hours.

Corona virus in Germany: Corona case on Lufthansa flight to China

There was also a corona case on a Lufthansa flight. 200 passengers were brought to China from Frankfurt and actually tested before takeoff - nevertheless, a 34-year-old was positive in a test after landing.

Because of the corona crisis, many people wear protective masks. Used protective masks are becoming more and more of a problem - there are dangerous consequences.
