The Measurement and Evaluation Center in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has set on the 15th of next August the date for the standardized national written examination for students of dentistry colleges under graduation from Syrian universities (government and private) and non-Syrian universities (August 2020 course) in university centers (Damascus and Aleppo) And Tishreen, Hama, and the Baath).

The Center stated in a declaration that SANA received a copy of today that one hundred marks were allocated to the exam that will be subject to all students of dental colleges in public and private universities under graduation who have only 12 credit hours or 4 courses for 2020 and also non-Syrian university students for Equivalence of their degrees and practice of the profession.

The center limited the number of questions to the exam to 120 questions, taking into consideration that they are in line with the national academic standards “Al-NARAS”, which determines the minimum level of practical knowledge and skills. The student’s obtaining from the Syrian universities (public and private) and non-Syrian universities is a 50 percent requirement for graduation, and the student benefits from the exam aid by only two marks, and obtaining the mark of 60 percent is a condition for applying for a postgraduate study.

Students in the faculties of dentistry in the Syrian public and private universities located outside the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic can apply for the standardized dental exam through the Syrian Virtual University access points in (Germany, the Emirates, Egypt and Lebanon).

The center pointed out that the electronic registration for the exam starts from the first of next July until the twentieth of it, and the fees for the exam are paid 5,000 Syrian pounds for students of private universities and 3000 Syrian pounds for students of government universities in the Syrian Commercial Bank on the sub-account of the Center for Measurement and Evaluation of the specialty of dentistry and $ 150 An American at the expense of the virtual university for students applying abroad.
