The dispute started when American Airlines failed to go back in China
The New York Times reported that the dispute began on March 26, when the Chinese aviation regulatory authority decided to restrict flights from foreign airlines to one flight per week, but all three US airlines had to stop flights to and from China and the United States because of the epidemic. As a result, the Chinese government effectively banned American Airlines flights to and from China and the United States, while Chinese airlines still have flights to American cities.
According to reports, both Delta Air Lines and United Airlines hope to resume flights to China this month. Both companies have appealed to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, but neither has received a response.
