In France, talking about numbers is taboo. Particularly when it comes to talking about his salary. "This is a sensitive subject intimately linked to value and recognition" , underlines Erwann Rozier, co-founder of the company Fly The Nest, which supports entrepreneurs and their teams to take the stages of growth. If, in Sweden or Norway, everyone can ask to consult the pay slip of another citizen, in France the experience is not yet much emulated. The Pacte law compels large companies with more than 1,000 employees to communicate the difference between the compensation of their managers and the median salary of their employees. Some small businesses have deliberately chosen to adopt this practice.
Founded in 2013, the start-up Tilkee, which publishes digital document reading behavior solutions, has opted for transparency. It thus makes the salaries of its thirty employees public internally.
