Berlin - Noah Sari's "Street Philosophy" deals with the compromise. Is Berlin the city of uncompromising lifestyles? Noah Sari does not have enough money, so she cannot find a nice apartment, so she first has to make do with a room in a shared apartment. Life is full of compromises, even in Berlin. And also for the moderator of the "Street Philosophy" magazine.

"Street philosophy - compromise" (Arte): Is there the ultimate truth?

Noah Sari approaches the subject of "compromise" from various sides . He does this with a thoughtfulness that is based on real life and looks for ways to address philosophical questions without moving too far away from everyday, practical questions. To do this, he seeks out some people whose life plans have different ways of accepting compromises or no longer making compromises and refusing to obey any external regulation.

There is Tanya, for example, who no longer wants an agency to tell her what she should look like and who no longer wants to be a model but a musician. Because she can't make a living from it, she makes compromises, and of course it's more of a dream than a realistic goal not to have to compromise. This smooth, rather modest type of pop music, which is rather modest in terms of expression, and which it wants to throw at each other with the aim of uncompromising independence, reveals an enormous degree of aesthetic lack of freedom. What they (and Noah Sari) seem to see differently.

Other examples of compromises in life are provided by a Greenpeace activist and a philosopher (also a podcaster, life artist and author) from Hamburg. This gives you the opportunity to take a nice little tour of the harbor with a view of the large pots from below and a walk through the uncompromising urban Schanzenviertel.

Back in Berlin, the mid-thirties Martin Hikel is visited at work. As the district mayor of Neukölln, he is the successor to the current Federal Minister of Family Affairs and still has a good understanding of how to handle basketball.

Noah Sari's "Street Philosophy" does not exaggerate topics and does not strive for clear decisions, no definitive truth and universal solutions, but wanders around thoughtfully, asks questions and answers them by creating new questions. And who in the flat share is now shopping for coffee? Perhaps answering this question also requires a bit of everyday philosophy and a willingness to compromise.
