The expansion of the Moosinning primary school is progressing. The tender can now start and construction can begin soon.

Moosinning - The expansion of the Moosinning primary school is progressing. The tender can now be started. The architect Markus Heilmaier reported in the municipal council meeting. If everything goes according to plan, the construction will be ready for the school year 2021/22.

2.9 million euros are earmarked for the expansion of the primary school - spread over the years 2019 to 2021. "As far as the number of students is concerned, the existing eight classrooms will no longer be sufficient in the next few years, presumably nine classes will be reached consistently", Heilmaier reported.

Four new classrooms are to be built in the extension, although "more and more are moving towards so-called learning landscapes". Headmaster Markus Pfanzelt tends to “subdivide the classifications anyway and that everything is more or less flexible,” explained the architect.

The building application was made in April 2019. There was a problem with fire protection from 2015 in the rear building. "It was poor," Heilmaier stated. Now two new escape routes and a second fire brigade access have been planned. One of the escape routes leads behind the sports hall to a small door to the cemetery. The architect said that this was always open. That was agreed with the pastor.

The building permit has been available since the week before last: "Now we can go into the tender phase", Heilmaier stated. The execution planning was ready, he emphasized and stated: "The corona crisis has brought us a relief." Because the government has changed the guidelines because of the crisis, "we can now only tender for a limited amount of up to one million euros" .

27 trades have to be put out to tender. The company lists will be created in the next few days. "We are no longer bound to an approval process," Heilmaier emphasized. As for the schedule, "our goal is that we can still put the shell in place this year, then we will be ready on time for the 2021/22 school year," the architect looked ahead, whereupon building manager Gabriele Müller added: "The headmaster needs the extension in Summer 2022. "

When asked whether it made sense to create a second assembly point, the architect replied: "A assembly point is a requirement, because the teachers have to check whether all students are there." That would be problematic if there were two places in different locations.
