Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - After months of waiting, the Juvenile Juvenile Center in Geretsried reopened on Tuesday. "We are all very relieved that it will continue," says Angela Heim from the Geretsried youth and social work organization. "The young people gradually got involved and were able to get to know the completely new team." It was a relaxed evening with good discussions. "Everyone was happy that the juice store was filled with youthful vigor again." On Thursday evening the youth club Ein-Stein also opened its doors.

The prerequisite was a coherent hygiene concept that the sponsoring association developed together with an external consultant. It is quite similar to that of restaurants. There are entrance controls, mandatory masks and references to the distance rule. The contact details of the adolescents are also recorded so that the infection chains can be traced back in the event of an incident. "My observation on the first day was that the youngsters already have a lot in them," says Heim. "For many, keeping clear is obviously a matter of course."

The offer must be slimmed down significantly

The opening times in the juice shop remain the same. But the offer is slimmed down a little. "For example, concerts just don't go at the moment," says Heim. Juice shop visitors have to come to terms with the fact that, because of the distance, there is significantly less access than before. "We had 80 visitors at normal times," says Heim. Now there are a maximum of 30.

Wolfratshausen is not quite as far as in Geretsried. "We wait every day for the go to go," explains social worker Lisa Ettenberger. As soon as the district office approves the developed hygiene concept, the doors in La Vida are opened again. "We're in the starting blocks."

Clearly, it also meant a huge effort for the La Vida team to make the youth center corona-compatible. Running it could be an even bigger task. The same applies here, as in Geretsried: entrance control, daily attendance lists, minimum distance, limitation to a good 20 people, mask requirement and more. According to Ettenberger's assessment, the mask requirement that applies in the rooms of La Vida could be a hurdle. "Some find that annoying," she reports. Half of the participants who wanted to take part in an art project have canceled because of this.

In Bad Tölz the time has come on June 9

A decision was made in Bad Tölz on Wednesday: the youth café on Hindenburgstrasse reopens on Tuesday, June 9, and the community center on Flinthhöhe a week later on June 15. The good news, especially for those with sporting ambitions: The range of open house sports - from yoga to hip-hop to boxing training - is back, albeit first if possible outside. "This is very popular," said the press spokeswoman for the city of Bad Tölz, Birte Otterbach.

Like the other youth centers, it was imperative to develop a hygiene concept in Tölz. It was based on the recommendations of the Bavarian Youth Ring. It will be essential to be able to trace chains of infection. “So when we visit the youngsters for the first time, we absolutely need a declaration of consent from the parents that we can save the contact details,” says Otterbach. The form can be downloaded from Facebook and Instagram, but can also be obtained in the youth café.
