The trains are returning: This Monday, Israel Railways will return to activity, according to the agreement between Transport Minister Miri Regev and Minister of Health Yuli Edelstein. Today, there will be a discussion between the office's representatives and the NSC staff regarding the move.

"The public expects and expects the return of the train that operated will remove the pressure on the bus systems and allow transport access to Israeli citizens," Minister Regev said. "We will follow and make sure that the public abides by the rules, while maintaining the social remoteness, wearing masks and preventing passengers with heat from entering the station complex."

On Tuesday, Regev met with the train's chief executive, Michael Meeksner, at the railroad's offices to closely monitor preparations for the reopening. Meets Health Ministry conditions.

MK Yaakov Margi, chairman of the Knesset's Economics Committee, expressed concern this week about opening the trains to full traffic, as he was not convinced that the Ministry of Transport had prepared an outline to maintain public health. The health department's head of health ministry, Ruth Gross, said the opening of the train was delayed from May 17 to June 8 because the ministry had requirements that were difficult to meet, such as keeping distance and enforcing a mask when traveling. Chairman Margie asked what would happen on June 8, and Gross replied: "On Thursday, there will be a discussion with the National Security Service (MLA) about whether the train will really open. If morbidity continues to rise, our wages will be lost."

Meanwhile, many passengers are losing patience due to repeated rejections. Those living in the periphery are forced to use public transport that has not yet returned to full activity or use their private vehicles and get in traffic every day. Other casualties are people with disabilities, the train being the best means of transportation for them to get from place to place and especially to work.

"When the Corona broke out, I had to work from home like all office workers, and now everyone is back in the office, but I, unfortunately, still work from home," T. wrote in a statement from organizations representing disabled people to the Ministry of Transport, "I'm left behind. Why? Because the train is disabled.

"I know and understand that there are Health Ministry guidelines and fear of being infected with Corona. I also understand that infrastructure work needs to be done, but there seems to be some misconception that people at the top just don't regularly travel in public transport, so it sounds like a toy to them. Cool and not a basic right, whose function and activities depend on one million people. "

The Ministry of Health said: "The issue is in discussions with the professionals and with the Ministry of Transport and Israel Railways." A Health Ministry official added that the issue of public transport is at the heart of the matter, because "there needs to be passenger control - where up and down - as well as the movement of many passengers together, with emphasis on high-capacity transport vehicles such as the train."
