Visitors have to accept some restrictions: Nevertheless, the tourist attraction Roseninsel continues to work even after the Corona break.
Feldafing - "The demand for guided tours in the casino so far corresponds to the average value of a normal season," writes Ines Holzmüller, spokeswoman for the Bavarian Palace and Lake Administration when asked by Starnberg Merkur.
Since the past weekend, the ferrymen have been driving visitors to the island in Lake Starnberg with their zills. The business starts again just in time for the rose bloom. The small villa called Casino can only be visited during these half-hour tours. These take place during the usual opening times: Tuesday to Friday every hour between 12.15 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. and on weekends and public holidays every half hour at that time.
A maximum of five people may take part in the tours. Group visits are not yet possible again. The tour of the casino is limited to the dining room and the garden room. Anyone wishing to participate must provide their contact details and wear a mouth-and-nose cover. The safety distance of 1.5 meters must also be maintained. “The small museum in the former gardener's house is unfortunately closed due to the spatial confinement. The outer areas of the Roseninsel are freely accessible, ”writes the spokeswoman.
Not too many people on the Roseninsel
The administration makes sure that there are not too many people on the island at the same time. In this case, ferry traffic to the island will be temporarily suspended until some guests are back on land. There is no exact maximum number. "If there are so many visitors that the distance can no longer be reliably maintained, then we react," says Holzmüller.
According to ferryman Hermann Zillner, the romantic trip with the Zillen to Roseninsel is already well received. However, passengers would have to be prepared for waiting times. "We can't take that many people on the boat," says Zillner. Weddings had already taken place on the island again - but on a smaller scale with a maximum of nine participants.
