On August 23, 2006, around 7 pm, a police report was received about finding a woman without life in her home in Ashdod. Police investigators who arrived at the scene noticed various signs which raised the suspicion that it was a murder. The arena even came with a mobile laboratory, which was collecting data. At the conclusion of the assessment of the situation, it was decided to investigate the suspicion of Clara Rabin's murder of the Central Unit.

Over the years, various investigations have been conducted to reach suspects involved in the murder. The breakthrough for deciphering the case came to the researchers of the Central Unit of Lachish space in April this year, after seeking to re-examine the exhibits collected from the homicide scene, using new technological tools.

Following the new investigations, the suspect was found murdered and, following an undercover investigation, he was arrested on May 24, 2020, and his arrest has been extended from time to time in the Magistrate's Court. On Tuesday, police are expected to request an extension of his arrest again.

Police note that homicides are on the investigators' desk all the time and the best resources available in the organization are up to their investigations until their investigations are active and a wide range of investigative activities are carried out. It has also been reported that technological developments introduced in recent years, in close cooperation with law enforcement agencies in Israel and abroad, help investigators advance the murder cases, in order to reach every suspect and bring him to justice for his grave acts.
