Erding - excitement about a press release: The district office in Erding sent an email on Thursday at 4:58 p.m. with the subject "Possibility to reopen the thermal baths" . Analogous to the opening of the outdoor pools, “partial reopening of the Erding thermal spa will be considered from June 8,” the authority writes. Half an hour later, the rather acidified owner Jörg Wund made it clear on request: There would be no pure operation of the outdoor facilities with closed changing rooms and showers.

“Therme Erding can only guarantee its quality with the complete range. Without a sauna - we will have to do without it for longer because of Corona, ”he said in an interview with our newspaper. Wound is also not tempting to believe that the authority considers the system components located below the open dome to be external systems, according to the press release.

At 4:23 p.m., he received a notice from the Erding district office about the "reopening of the outdoor facilities," says the owner. The media were informed half an hour later. "Closing the thermal baths overnight was brutal, and now that ...", the entrepreneur was annoyed.

360 of the 1000 employees are on short-time work, the water in the pools is 20 to 22 degrees warm, cleaning companies are not in the house, the restaurateurs could not even order fries. The company needs two to three weeks in advance. "I would like to see the button that can be used to operate a thermal spa over the weekend," said Wund.

He is waiting for a state go-ahead for the entire bathroom. After all, this signal for medicinal and thermal baths in Baden-Württemberg is already there for Saturday.
