Lower Saxony dares to take the next step in easing despite local corona outbreaks. On Monday, a number of requirements to contain the virus will be lifted again.
In the country's five-stage easing plan, it is the fourth stage. Above all, the hospitality industry can benefit. The cultural scene can also start up again slowly - but under strict conditions.

Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Stephan Weil justified the corona loosening with a nationwide stable infection rate . "If we keep the infection process under control, we can go back step by step to an everyday life under the conditions of Corona," said the SPD politician on Friday.

- Events : Outdoor events with up to 250 participants are again permitted subject to conditions. This also applies to cultural events, although theaters, concert halls and cinemas are still closed.
Visitors to the open-air events must keep a distance of one and a half meters from members of other households and take seats. The regulation also stipulates that the organizers record the contact details of the guests and keep them for three weeks.
- Travel : In line with the summer season, the holiday business will also be expanded. Hoteliers can use their houses up to 80 percent from Monday, instead of 60 percent as before. If only business travelers are accepted, the quota may even be exceeded. The seven-day reoccupation period does not apply to holiday apartments. And tourist bus trips are also possible again under certain conditions.
- Celebrate: For the first time, bars in Lower Saxony are allowed to reopen, with the exception of shisha bars. Clubs and discos remain closed. Weddings, baptisms and funerals can take place from Monday with up to 50 participants. So far, the upper limit was 20.
- Sports: After the outdoor pools, swimmers can now visit the indoor pools again. At the same time, the closing of showers and changing rooms of sports facilities is lifted. Athletes no longer have to change their clothes in the car or drive home sweaty.

The fifth phase of the phased plan could enter into force on June 22, 2020. Then the new Corona regulation expires. If the infection process makes it necessary, the regulation could also be extended, said deputy head of the crisis team, Claudia Schröder, on Friday (06.06.2020).
It is already planned that from mid-June there will be a limited time for children to visit the daycare center again. From June 15th, 2020 the students will have all classes in the schools again.

Kindergartens and after-school centers: Only emergency care allowed: Maximum group size: U3 children maximum 8 children per group. A maximum of 13 children from 3 years. 10 children per group are allowed in the daycare centers.

The regulation applies from Monday, June 8th, 2020 to Wednesday, June 22nd, 2020 and is intended to bring far-reaching relaxation. The press conference will be particularly exciting against the background of the corona outbreak in Göttingen * - in which around 120 infected people have been confirmed so far.
Above all, many restrictions should fall for gastronomy, tourism and the cultural scene. Events with a maximum of 250 participants should be allowed again. Theaters and cinemas, on the other hand, should remain closed.
For the hotel industry in Lower Saxony, the restrictions on the maximum occupancy will be relaxed from 50 to a maximum of 80 percent. Bus travel should also be possible again. Bars should now be allowed to receive guests again.
