Blood samples from 2205 healthy people were also obtained from there in order to compare them with those of the former corona sufferers. The researchers concluded that people with blood group A appeared to be at significantly higher risk of developing a severe disease than the other blood types. The least risk therefore appears to be for people with blood group 0 .

The former group appears to be twice as likely to be dependent on oxygen administration or a ventilator for a Covid 19 disease as the null blood group. The other, but not so common blood types AB and B are in between.
Chinese scientists had already come to a similar conclusion . However, the researchers from Germany and Norway point out that their study results have not yet been subjected to a "peer review" by other scientists, and it is therefore a prior publication .
