The butcher shop Länger has set up a 24-hour machine in front of their headquarters on Geltinger Weg. There is not only grilled meat there.
Geretsried - "Please only have three customers in the shop at the same time" is written on the large sign right next to the entrance to the butcher shop Länger on Amselweg. "The citizens thankfully stick to it," says Maria Länger, mother of owner Andreas Länger, who has been running the business since 2017. "However, they are then in a long line in front of the door in wind and weather." So Longer has considered how she can remedy this in order to shorten the waiting times.
In Kochel, she saw a refrigeration machine where customers could help themselves - whether day or night. "I thought that was a good idea, so I got to grips with how we could implement it." Longer found a manufacturer in Weilheim, and the device has been standing next to the butcher for about two weeks now. The offer ranges from butter, eggs, grilled meat and sausages to cold cuts and ham. Payment is made in cash.
“So if the butter runs out on Sunday,” says Geretsriederin, “you can buy some here. Or, if you spontaneously feel like barbecuing, you can get the meat here. ”Although the refrigeration machine is a further effort for the butchery - after all, it has to be checked and filled every day - but that is of secondary importance for the family. "It is a good solution for everyone."
