The first white lion born in Spain, rejected by his mother

Alba and Can's son has gone down in history for being the first white lion calf to be born in captivity in Spain. It was last Sunday when the MundoPark de Guillena reserve, in Seville, made the announcement of the birth, which has been special since the moment of delivery, which occurred on day 2.

The director of the reserve, Juan Luis Malpartida, points out that the puppy is "phenomenal", but, for unknown reasons, he has been rejected. "The mother does not take notice of it for some circumstance. Nature is very wise and when she does it it is for something because they are animals that always love much and defend their offspring a lot," he says.

In the facilities they are working so that the young survive. They are fed milk such as that supplied to animals when they have to be removed from their mothers. "The lion, for the moment, is phenomenal and cries a lot for the food. Hopefully we can make it through. These days we will be with our hearts on edge", says the person in charge of MundoPark.

The puppy's birth was special. "A rare birth, with a single calf and also huge, with open eyes." In addition, shortly after birth, she started walking and almost running. In the facilities there is a male lion and two females. Alba's partner is pregnant.

The little puppy does not have a name yet, awaiting the baptism of the children who visit the facilities. One of them will be chosen, and its author will receive a card as the godfather of the baby so that he can go for a whole year to see it.
