Target daily test volume increased to 7,500
Yuan pointed out that about 5,000 tests conducted daily by the Department of Health are not enough to cope with the epidemic. It is expected to increase the number of tests to 7,500 and find invisible patients within two to three days. He pointed out that the incubation period of new coronary pneumonia can reach 24 days, and the 14-day isolation measure can only identify 95% of patients, and 5% still have the opportunity to enter the community to become an invisible transmission chain. Therefore, he emphasized the importance of extensive testing. Only one super-spread case would put past efforts into practice.

He hopes that one day in the future, the hospital will be able to implement free testing services. The public will no longer have to spend time queuing to see doctors.
