Outstanding lecturers, mentors and students did not give up the Excel Birthright Conference for Business Leadership Development and held a virtual international meeting

Despite the Corona crisis, and the difficulty of holding mass conferences, the Birthright Axel Project, the business leadership program of the Birthright organization, decided not to miss the conference this year too and hold it through the zoom. 

In the past, the conference was held on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, but this year the business companies, mentors, lecturers and outstanding students participating in the program all convened for a virtual meeting through the conference call app. 

As part of the program, which is in its tenth year, 54 participants from North America come to Israel each year to specialize in the largest and most influential companies in the Israeli economy, some of whom participate in a 10-week entrepreneurial track. Participants from North America are joined by 54 participants from Israel, outstanding students, officers and opponents from elite intelligence units.   

As mentioned, the Corona epidemic has not prevented everyone involved from implementing the program this year, with all participants participating in an online summer program of their first, specializing in Israeli companies such as Lemonade, EY, Deloitte, and Viola Credit, and participating in leadership workshops and country recognition - as best they can.   

"As you know, the Corona brought unprecedented birthplace that forced us to stop the arrival of the groups in the meantime," Birthright CEO Gidi Mark told participants of the Excel Birthright program at the opening event that started a few minutes ago. "As soon as possible, and sure, I'd love to see You are all here in the country, ”he said.

During the closure period, members of the Birthright Axel community, in Israel and around the world, organized a series of ventures that assisted a wide range of populations - the Door2Dor venture that assisted with third-party food and medical supplies established by two community members, as well as graduates initiated an attractive Passover Haggadah, International Shabbat Receipts, And online workshops. "Our community activity during the closing days has demonstrated the nature of our members and human capital," added Mark, "members of the community prove themselves every day as leaders of both the business and Jewish worlds." 

In addition to the professional internships, during the summer, online meetings with senior Israeli officials such as Adi Sofer Thani, Facebook Israel CEO, Yifat Oron, Leumi Tech CEO, and former UN ambassador Danny Dayan will be held.

Mark concluded: "This project is considered to be the most prestigious program in the Jewish world today, with tens of thousands of young people being accepted from thousands of applicants. It is a great pride to launch the program this year as well, with thousands of other programs having to fail as usual."
