Update from Monday, June 8th, 2020, 12:22 pm: Vellmar ( Kassel district ) - The 16-year-old from Vellmar , who has been missing since May 19, 2020, has returned safely to the youth facility. In the meantime she had apparently stayed with a friend. The search for the youth, with whom the police also turned public last Thursday (June 4, 2020), has ended. This is announced by Matthias Mänz, the spokesman for the police headquarters in Northern Hesse.

The young girl had left her home, a youth facility from Vellmar in the district of Kassel , on May 19, 2020. Since then, their whereabouts have been unclear.
Missing in the Kassel district: 16-year-olds have often not come home
The behavior of the missing girl from the Kassel district is said to have not been unusual, according to the police. In the past, she left home several times, but kept coming back after a few days.
The previous investigation by the Kassel police could not find the 16-year-olds, so the officials hope for help from the population.

What clothes the girl from the Kassel district is currently wearing is not known. Anyone who can give the investigators information on the whereabouts of the 16-year-olds is requested to report to the police in Kassel or any other police station on telephone number 0561/9100 .

A boy was also missing in the Kassel district: the search for a nine-year-old went off lightly. The requested helicopter and search dog were not needed. The boy, who was reported missing, is found hypothermic.
The 49-year-old Linda L. from Kassel was also missing. The police were on the job with a search dog and a helicopter. Now she is home again.
Missing in Kassel: Seraphine D. (12) from Kassel disappeared on Sunday - now she is at home again. The young girl was reported missing before Christmas and at the end of January.
